One link. Three weeks. A masjid full of sisters.

Two friends in Sydney with no website, no mailing list and no ticketing history. They made a page in an afternoon, published it on a Sunday night, and twenty days later every seat at Bonnyrigg Mosque was taken.

Our mission

To strengthen the Ummah by making it simple to gather, teach and give.

Ten percent of what we earn is given as sadaqah, so barakah spreads further than we can reach.

10% of our revenue goes to a charity you choose, in your name.

A tenth of every fee we earn goes back out. You pick the charity, it is given in your name, and you get a statement each quarter.

Pricing

You only pay when you get paid.

Free programs stay free at any size, with no cap and no card on file. When you do sell tickets, our share comes out of the payment as it lands, so there is no monthly fee, nothing to set up, and nothing at all in a month you sell nothing.

Both plans, the calculator, and every question a committee asks about money.

Support

A real person, right up to the day.

Not a ticket queue and not a chatbot. Call us, or have one of us at the door on the day.

On the phone

Speak to someone who knows the platform. Evenings and weekends included.

On a video call

Share your screen and we walk through it with you.

At the door, in person

For your first large program we can be on site, setting up the scanners with your stewards.

A brother or a sister, your choice. Every one of these, the phone call, the video call and the person at your door, you choose who you deal with. For sisters-only programs it will be a sister.

Why we built it

A brother and a sister. She runs the programs, he builds around them.

The sister who co-founded Barakah Bookings runs youth programs in Sydney. Sign-ups in one place, the door list printed the night before, no mailing list worth the name, a different tool for every job.

“Nothing I tried gave me simplicity. I spent more time managing the systems than the program.”

The sister co-founder

So she asked her brother to build what she could not find. One platform, not five tools. That is still the mission: enterprise level software in the hands of the Islamic community.

The honest questions

Things every committee asks before they sign up.

Anything about money is answered on the pricing page. Still unsure? Write to us and a person answers, usually the same day.

Is Barakah really free?

Yes. Free events stay free, with no cap on attendees and no card on file, branded pages, QR check-in, committee roles, and a Hijri-aware calendar all included. We only charge when you sell paid tickets, and only on the tickets you actually sell.

How does QR check-in work?

Every ticket carries a QR code. On the night your volunteers open the scanner on their own phones, point the camera at the ticket, and the answer comes back in under a second: checked in, already in, or not valid for this event. There is nothing to install and no hardware to hire, and several people can scan at once on different doors while the count stays in sync.

What if somebody forgets their ticket?

Search their name on the door and check them in by hand. It happens at every event and it takes about four seconds. You can also add someone who never booked at all, if you decide to let them in.

Who owns the attendee data?

You do, completely. Export it or delete it whenever you like and it leaves with you. We never market to your attendees, never sell the data, and never use it to promote anyone else's program. Card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers.

Can my whole committee manage one event?

Yes, and roles decide what each person can open. An admin can do everything except billing, an editor can build pages and email the list, and a steward on the door sees the roster and nothing else, never your revenue and never your contacts. Invite as many people as you need at no extra cost.

Can I run courses, not just one-off events?

Yes. Sell a whole term in one enrolment, offer instalments, or let somebody try a single class first. Students get the joining link before every session, the recordings if they miss one, and a certificate at the end if you issue them. A course can be taught in a room, over video, or at their own pace.

We already use another platform. Is moving hard?

No. Keep running what you have and put your next program on Barakah. Import your list as a CSV from Eventbrite, TryBooking, Humanitix or a spreadsheet, and duplicates are matched on email rather than created twice. Most organisers move one event, see how the night goes, and bring the rest across afterwards.
